Queensland police have arrested five people and
recovered some of the explosives stolen from a house near Ipswich, west
of Brisbane, this week.
Fifty kilograms of the highly volatile Magnum Powergel was taken on
Tuesday, sparking a major investigation and a public warning that it
was unstable and could explode at any time.
Police have now recovered 25 kilograms of the explosives and are confident they will find the rest.
Four men and woman have been charged with an array of offences
relating to the theft, possession and transportation of the explosives.
They are expected to appear in separate courts in south-east Queensland, some next week and others next month.
The investigation is continuing and police say they are looking for several other people.
